Just a Mayberry expat fanfic writer who likes these crazy li'l toons and games. Finally broke down and got the account. Ni hao! (that's Chinese for "hi, y'all!")

"A little talent... a LOT of good use behind it."
Well, the art is kind of ... erm... basic. But the way it was timed, put together, right images with the lyrics, and witty use of the music... and the tried and true theme of one-way relationships... it had heart, and it was true.
You took what you had, and did a GREAT job with it.
Friendly Advice: credits for the tune "All My Life (So Happy Together)" would be a wise idea.

The first Bubbles was a lot of fun, and a great game. The second one, though, was a true innovation. I particularly liked the new power-ups (particularly the Bubbles Gravity and the Repel Mines)... but the really smart tweak you did was keeping separate timers for the power-ups instead of clumping them together in the first game.
I especially like how you can make your bubble especially big with the right power ups combined.
The only thing that stops a perfect 10 rating was the loss of the original music from Bubbles 1. The current Newgrounds soundtrack isn't bad, but I thought removing the tracks from the first one (particularly "Around the World" from Daft Punk) was like removing the ketchup from my fries. (Maybe make it a selectable (or unlockable) feature in a Bubbles 2.1 variant, if you have time?)
Oh, and folks, the Newgrounds game is sweet, but you really gotta see how crazy-go-nuts-HUGE you can make your bubble with a Sugar Rush of power-ups with Manuel's original formula back at his rancho.
I'm wondering... is it possible to blow up your bubble so large that it can't fit in the screen anymore? Maybe with the Wraparound power-up?
In any event... big fun... that gets bigger... and bigger... and BIGGER.

"Worth its weight in gold and white."
Look, let's set the record straight here... this is a Cadbury Creme Egg advertisement.
It's corporate. It's shilling. It's a flash by and for The Man.
But it's a very witty, amusing, make-me-laugh out loud, well thought out, fun corporate shilling flash by and for The Man.
Undeniably British feel and humour to it. Hadn't seen anything quite like it since watching the educational stop-motion shorts on Nickelodeon back in the Pinwheel days. Excellent job, TheWeebl!

Cute and fun. Could use some more stuff, though.
How about have a few more chances instead of ending the game on just one dropped pancake.
Also toss in some butter and syrup to catch before it goes splat all over the screen, making it harder to see.
Aside from that... easy on the eyes, and the funky peppy music fit the mood pretty well.
Not bad at all... just needs a little more to make this a complete balanced breakfast.

Hee hee! That was like the little girl at the end of this flash... short, sweet, hard to beat. Didn't belabor the point, got right to it.
And it's not exactly harsh to look at or listen too, either. Good job! Looking forward to more!

"Childish, no. Childlike, yes. And nifty, too."
Childish is when someone acts bratty and immature. Childlike is when someone has that wonderful, playful, unjaded, "see the world the first time" quality.
Cute. Charming. Some big words for a small children's story, but it was still fun to read. I think you hit the bullseye for your target audience pretty neatly.
Thanks for sharing. Like a rainbow, it's a refreshing thing to see around here in Newgrounds.
Author's Response:
Thank you! Yeah I guess there's a difference between the two xD (Childish and childlike)... Those are very nice things to hear from someone on Newgrounds. Thank you for taking the time to review! ^^

"Stranger Still If It Misses the Top 50"
Let's see... actual plot... check.
Neatly drawn characters... check.
Awesome music... check.
Use of the color (or lack thereof) to compare the life and richness of the wilds versus the drab, sterile civilization... BIG check.
How you make that guy seem much more alive just by ruffling his hair when he crossed over... check.
Yup. I'd say Newgrounds Rumble, The YuYu and There She Is! had better scoot over and make some room for this one.

Can't believe I let this one slide for so long.
It was fun, simple, and challenging enough in some games without making me want to rip the mouse out of the USB port...
The "dialogue" sound FX were pretty funny.
And that twist when you complete it... heh. The meek WILL inherit the earth. :-)
Great stuff, but then I wouldn't expect less from you.

"Not flyinig high, but not a crash and burn."
As far as first tries go, this is better than average. Found it a big relief from the soundless stickman violencefests.
My suggestions for fixin' it?
If you're any good at remixing sound, see if you trim the song a bit. Short attention spans, you know.
Also at the end when the characters were flying... see if you can get the cloud pattern loop in the background to flow more seamlessly: when it kept cutting to the first set, it was kinda jarring.
Aside from that... keep perfecting your craft. You've got potential. I believe you can... well, you know... ;-P
Author's Response:
Thanks. But I've made a decision: No more music videos! Unless all they are doing is dancing...
PS: Potential? I like That...

Well, it ain't "Shoo Fly," and no doubt you meant it that way. But you found that elusive line of "This sucks, and it's funny that way" and rode it very neatly. I'm impressed. Seriously.
