Looks great, but it's an awful lot of stuff to read in one sitting, especially for a flash video.

Also, a big glinch: on the menu, every time I tried to click on the link to take me to the Brezhnev or Gorbachev years, it'd kick me back out to the start screen with Lenin playing his banjo. I had to go through Kruschev's entries to reach the other stuff, and while the "Baby Elephant Dance" was a nice retro theme... it grates on the second or third loop.

Not bad overall, though... do an update, fix the mistakes, and you'll have yourself an A+ flash!

Heh hee. How many times has THIS happened to us?

At first I thought you were using the "silent movie" motif as a remedy for "can'tdosounditis." But you were very innovative in picking the music to go with everything, and the acknowledgement of having to trade visual quality for the sound was very well done.

Oh yeah... and the whole thing's funny out the wazoo.

Oh, and other tricks you can try next time on a stuck vendo:

(1) Turn you back to it, and rap the base below the pick-up tray with your heel

(2) Back up, charge, and booty-bop it

(3) Get your buds to see if they rock it back, and flick it out of the coil... and if all else fails...

(4) Call the service number on the machine.

All in all, ya done good. This belongs on the front page, IMNSHO.

"Not bad, but incomplete"

Well, you do have some ability as an artist, but there's two major bugbears:

(1) Yes, I realize you said you did this in one week, and had no sound to make the deadline vs. your friend. But the action is crying out for it. Or it would be crying out... if I could actually HEAR it.

(2) You tend to linger a bit too long on pregnant pauses and the loops on the hero walking through the forest. Some may call it something to set the drama. I fear I gotta call it drumming my fingers, waiting for something to happen.

All the same, good art, and something like a proper story. Hope you can go back and make this the COMPLETE flash it should be. And I hope a proper Part 2 will come in its due time.

Excellent cartoon, and loved the theme. Very funny exploitation and juxtaposition of the AYB thing too. Quick and to the point.

Well, this is rare... a flash game from Newgrounds that actually makes you THINK.

Great social commentary, excellent graphics, and very thorough on the details while simple and intuitive enough to play right away. This ought to be on the front page. Thanks for bringing it to us.

I'm sorry, amigo, you actually put in some heart and thought in the story, and it's better than my usual Blam of the Day, and the music was a good choice...

But... the text runs by a bit fast, and pictorally... it just ain't there. I hope you can work on the art and the look, or get on good terms on a good graphics artist.

Don't give up, though. Keep working on it.
