Dante's Inferno: Canto I

"The heck I ain't gettin' my hopes up."

date: February 5, 2007

The intro to a classic... a LITERAL classic. Never thought I 'd see THAT outta Newgrounds.

Music was grand. Voice acting was nigh-professional grade. Art's not the best, but definitely not NG's worst. You got me thirsting for more already... c'mon, make the time and continue this thing!

Sorry, guy, nice premise, but you've REALLY got to work on the art and the look of this thing.

Issues Teaser

"You got my attention"

submission: Issues Teaser
date: February 3, 2007

Art style was coolly minimalist, but could be a bit cleaner. Needs a little more work, but you have the basics in setting the mood.

One minor suggestion: work on fading out the music towards the end of your teaser. Aside from that... good first attempt.

Science Abuse (SCAB)

"Hit and miss"

date: February 3, 2007

What worked... your choice in music, the look in sprites, and the mellow attitude in narration.

What didn't... frame's WAY too small, and I didn't get to read all the dialogue.

Needs a rework, but it wasn't that bad at all. Make that sucker bigger next time, and keep at it. :-)

Street Fighter: AFS 2

"That was a riot!"

date: February 2, 2007

Very good! You obviously have a knowledge for the fighting game genre, and it paid off in your humor. And your use of sprites was very clever. Voice acting for Guile particularly impressed me. In short, ace flash. ^_^ b

the life of a cow

"Well, whadaya want for 127 K?"

submission: the life of a cow
date: February 2, 2007

First thing that hit my noggin... you draw the scrawniest cows on the whole danged planet. :-P Ain't gettin' no hamburgers off THAT one.

But at the last moments... let's just say I found it a blast.

Pretty well crafted for a fribble anyway... it ain't filet mingon, but it didn't give me Mad Cow Disease either.

Up Yours, Boston

"A one-shot thingy... but it hit the bullseye."

submission: Up Yours, Boston
date: February 1, 2007

Well, first the bad news... it's pretty topical to a single news event, and I'm afraid the relevance will fade as soon as the media find another thing to get its boxer briefs in a knot over.

Also, a small credit to the side for the animator voices, and the band Disturbed would've been appropriate.

But it was very well crafted, poignant, sharp, and witty. And throw in a bust of Martin Van Buren FTW.

Nicely done.

Author's Response:

True, but this single event is but a symptom of the underlying cultural problem.

Being one of stupidity and obsessiveness with victimhood status.

I felt that the statements had to be made.

Glad you enjoyed the Disturbed music. I thought it was a nice touch.

"Simply great"

date: February 1, 2007

Artistically simple, stylish, and does the job greatly.

Music is cool, but not a distraction.

Doesn't mess around: presents a simple game, and presents it very nicely. Good job!

Author's Response:

Thanks a lot!

Glad you like the graphics. It's the 70s again!

The ORB Game

"Well, don't this make ya feel warm and fuzzy?"

submission: The ORB Game
date: February 1, 2007

I think I just had a ZomboCom flashback... ;-P

Hey, very nice little game. I liked how you patterned all the blue orbs strategically like that. Only thing is, the peppy little tune turned off after it played through... can you loop it in a version 2.0?

All around... neato!

"Groovy-solid, man."

date: January 29, 2007

OK, I've had my '60s fix.

That was cute, charming, funny, and quite a twist at the end. Ya did good. ^_^ b Ready to check out your other stuff.

And a happy Valentine's Day to you, too.

Author's Response:

Thanks Groove-Dude! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
